Words Left Unsaid : Songs That Are Actually That Good

I LOVE me some good beats and just wholesome ass lyrics. It just gets me every time. Throughout my teenage years my taste of music haven't changed significantly. So my go to would be songs that are chill and easy to listen. It doesn't have to be pop, just beats that tingle my sense basically. Okay that sounds weird, but that is the biggest criteria that differs my taste of music from my peers. Of course as a basic bitch myself, I still dabbled with the trend, because it's everywhere. It's not like you can choose to hear songs that you like on the radio all the time. So I might took liking towards popular songs that always plays on the radio.

But if you asked me what I'm particularly into, well, I'll be happy to show you some of my preference in music

1. Feels over heels
I bet everyone have experienced a ton of expectation that were put into them and somehow it doesn't always live up to what they thought someone would do. Sometimes I just don't want to care about shits that the people ask or expect. So fuck it, why do I have to live up to their expectation when I can't even find myself in them? Noah Kahan does magic in his song that's titled
'False Confidence' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF84c-Ehxls&list=PLiEUCXYmgND9QZRjTBt6LsyoYl6BnNXuA
How he delivers the lyrics and the melodies are just perfect. It"ll make you think about things like 'Yeah, they actually didn't care as much. Why being somebody I'm not?' It will psyched you out to the perfect amount of confidence. It's 2020, live your life.

2. Love is in the air baby!
If you're a romantic person like me, a love song that will swoon you when nobody would is the right way to go. The last 18 fucking years of my life have betrayed me because they did not give me a fine man to be my bae. I mean I'll live but, 18 fucking years, bruh, I haven't had a taste of it at all? It's just outrageous. So to make up all of my lost years I put something cheesy like 'Put It All On Me' by Ed Sheeran https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryJgDL9jzKk and probably some 'Shut Up' by Greyson Chance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpNn32HA0SI
I'm not gonna lie, I always tear up every time i watched the MV for 'Put It All On Me'. It's beautiful. Tell me otherwise and I'll hunt you down and kill you in your sleep. Low key joking, but not really.
Oh do not forget about those sad and lonely times without your non existent bae. We all go through break ups and loneliness. That times can be depressing and some people aren't the best at dealing with their emotions. A song or two can let those anger, frustration, sadness, and loneliness flows out along with your tears. Ladies and gentleman, Noah Kahan came through again with his song 'Come Down' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXIiOOOWSsc. Noah gave us the privilege to be with him through this song. He's soothing you saying that everything would be okay and he'll stay 'til you come down. He's like your best friend that will be there for you whenever you need him. Listen to him and you'll have a good cry and be relieved after it.

3. I don't need no man, honey! Nuh uh!
Well, I think it is up for a debate whether love is overrated or not. These days love can be something open and not forced in any way. As a teenage girl that grows in a muslim conservative household, finding love or a husband is a must. Especially here in Indonesia where that becomes sort of the unwritten law that everyone obeys without question. It's mandatory to have a family, a perfectly normal family. We'll talk about this topic maybe later in the next entry.
Some women though, believed that they could do amazing without a male beside and accompanying throughout her life. What do I say to that? HELL YEAH. It's time to realize that there's no limitations of what women could do. If they aren't comfortable with finding a soulmate then might as well marry the good things in their life. Like 'Good Things' by Zedd featuring Kehlani https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMla2ZIz7-4
I'M SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG. Empowering is the first word that comes to mind. That boss ass bitch feeling is the aesthetic of this song. Girl, if you good things in your life, enjoy and don't ever let anyone says that a man will make you happier than you already are. If you get the one, then you get the one, you get me?
Also there is one song that represents every mid twenties women that's just tired of people asking who they're going to marry. Will Jay got the perfect song with 'Never Been In Love' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtgcPWnR0ak. This song basically tell those nosy aunties to fuck off and mind their own business. Get the hell out of my life, am I right?

4. Twerk it and work it
This is by far the categories I really love. You see, my music have been there for me when my self love was just giving up on me. How do I self love? Dance it out on the floor, bitches! Whether you're alone or surrounded by people, it doesn't really matter. Get down and own the world. For a minute you will love yourself to the fullest. Letting go is the best feeling ever. It doesn't rule out dancing.
There're a lot of songs, but my all time favorite is 'Reggaeton Lento' by CNCO featuring Little Mix. It's the song that taught me that I could do all sorts of move with my body and feeling sexy. But recently I'm into 'Solita' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KW4D6pVLoo&list=PLiEUCXYmgND-6GWPE-Jp27R9eBlW3eEgq&index=3&t=0s and 'Me Necesita' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7j3J1sTDFc by PRETTYMUCH and CNCO. THEY ARE TOO GOOD WITH THEIR RHYTHM. They got me going good for some twerking and body rolling. Just to mention, they are absolute-fucking-ly good looking.

5. Bring back time
I am technically what people say a Gen Z. I grow up beside pop culture, so given that I should be knowing the music trends and whatsoever in my generation i guess. I didn't actually keep up the music trends later in mid school. My dad loves his playlist of songs in his era, so I've grown to like and know a decent amount of song back in the day when kids my age doesn't even recognize the songs.
The one I love and remembered until this day is delivered by the queen, the og, the amazing Whitney Houston and that is 'The Greatest Love Of All'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYzlVDlE72w. I'm not even kidding when I say I master, I said, I master that song when I was 10. I knew every lyrics, beats, tones, and everything in that song. Even to this day I still remember most of it.
The next song is the legendary duet between Mariah Carey and again, Whitney Houston it is 'Miracle' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKaXY4IdZ40. When I tell you that it's legendary, I'm not playing. Their voice and control are just *insert chef's kiss sounds*.
